The atmosphere is open, friendly, and inclusive. Every attendee is part of the experience.
THE LINEUP
MASTER FRANK FU (Kung Fu Metal)
Auckland’s own “Kung Fu Metal” phenomenon, Master Frank Fu deliver a style that is both visual and sonic. Their blend of fast, technical metal with Eastern musical influences — including soaring erhu lines and Mandarin/English vocals — has earned them a reputation for performances that feel like martial‑arts theatre. Their stagecraft is physical, precise, and unforgettable.
GRAPEHOUSE (Indie Rock / Shoegaze / Alt Pop)
Grapehouse fuse hard‑hitting indie rock with dreamy shoegaze textures and dual‑vocalist dynamics. Their songs explore the anxieties and contradictions of growing up in a hyper‑connected world, delivered with emotional intensity and a live presence that feels communal and cathartic. Their sound creates an immediate connection with audiences.
DAYDREAMER (Indie Rock)
Formerly known as The Daydreamers, DayDreamer have sharpened their sound into something urgent, vulnerable, and defiant. Their music sits in the tension between idealism and reality, carrying tenderness, grit, and emotional honesty. Their performance brings heart and clarity to the night.
HITOKIRI (J‑Rock / J‑Metal / Visual Kei)
Auckland’s leading J‑Rock/J‑Metal act, Hitokiri channel the theatrical intensity of Visual Kei with the technical precision of modern Japanese rock. Influenced by X Japan, The GazettE, Dir en Grey, ONE OK ROCK, and MY FIRST STORY, they deliver a high‑energy performance that feels like stepping into a Tokyo livehouse. Their set promises soaring melodies, crushing riffs, and full‑room movement.
TWO LEVELS · ONE NIGHT · EVERYONE WELCOME
Upstairs at Dead Witch hosts the live bands. Downstairs, the main bar DJs keep the energy flowing with Asian Rock, Alternative, and heavy anthems all night.
The event is designed for metalheads, indie fans, J‑Rock devotees, newcomers, and anyone seeking a night of expressive, high‑impact music. Every person who walks through the door becomes part of the community.
