About this Event

Join the Cardozo Law Institute in Holocaust and Human Rights (CLIHHR) and La Coordinadora Regional de Investigaciones Económicas y Sociales (CRIES) for a panel discussion exploring how AI is reshaping the exercise of power. The panel will examine AI’s role in surveillance, border control, warfare, content moderation, and social protection, as well as the critical importance of regulation in addressing atrocity risks. Speakers will present on how AI systems, when deployed without meaningful safeguards, can intensify repression, automate exclusion, and accelerate harm against communities facing discrimination, thereby increasing the risk of mass human rights violations.
