Welcome Springtime: A 3D Paper Art Watercolour Bouquet

In this 2 hour art workshop, you’ll learn how to create stunning flowers using a material typically reserved for brewing coffee! The humble coffee filter will be used as a base to explore watercolour painting which will then be used to create expressive, colourful, dimensional flowers. Construction paper and collage materials will be available to make additional 3D flowers varieties. Finally, you’ll assemble all your flowers into a bouquet you can take home with you (or gift someone to brighten their day). This is a tactile art workshop that encourages play, exploration and an openness to trusting the process.

Tuesday June 16th 12 PM - 2 PM

Take a Walk on the Wild Side: Exotic Patterns Watercolour Workshop

In this 2 hour, in-person art workshop, you’ll learn how to create expressive and exotic patterns using watercolour paint. We will be inspired by looking at reference photos of wildlife like beautiful feathers, textured snakeskins, fuzzy furs and then interpret those photos into creating our own artworks with watercolours. You’ll practice watercolour techniques that will bring your wild vision to life. You’ll leave having observed nature on a micro level and translated it into your own expressive artwork inspired by the beauty of wildlife.

This workshop is useful for:

- Well-being

- Engaging in the present moment

- Exploring creative experimentation

- Connecting in a communal space

- Thinking in visuals to aid storytelling through art

All required materials will be provided by CAMH on the day of the workshop.

Pre-registration is required as space is limited per group.

Open to all, no prior art experience necessary.
