As the summer sun begins to set, you’ll be guided step-by-step by artist Julie Stokes to create your own vibrant, tropical masterpiece. Whether you are a seasoned painter or picking up a brush for the very first time, this laid-back, open-air workshop is designed for all skill levels.

Julie Stokes is a painter with more than 30 years of experience in the art world, known for her expressive style and her ability to guide others into creativity with confidence and ease. She specializes in the wetonwet oil painting technique, a method she has refined over decades of dedicated practice. In 2014, Julie became a Certified Wilson Bickford Instructor, deepening her mastery of the technique and expanding her ability to teach it to artists of all levels.
Her work blends gentle strength, movement, and emotional truth — themes that echo through her paintings and her teaching style. Whether she’s creating original pieces or leading group paint sessions, Julie’s goal is always the same: to help people discover the joy of painting and the beauty of expressing themselves through color and texture.
