About this Event
Join us on Monday, June 1st from 5-8pm for the opening reception for Art Among the Stars, our annual exhibition of astronomy-inspired art! The opening will include a symposium of artist talks and planetarium screenings, with each session repeating twice at 5:30pm and at 6:45pm. There will also be free food!
We're especially excited to announce our invited speaker for the symposium: Diana Rojas, an Assistant Professor of Sound Art at the University of Texas at Dallas, who will be joining us virtually. Be sure to catch her featured artist talk, Planetariums as Portals, where you'll also have an opportunity to ask questions. You can find examples of her amazing planetarium artwork here.
If you can't make it to the opening, the exhibition of 2D and 3D works will remain on view from June 1st - June 5th, on the second floor of the PAA Building on UW Seattle campus.
