Archives Drop-In: Islington's Pride
Join Islington Archives for our monthly drop-in on the last Thursday of each month to explore displays from our unique local history collections.
This month’s drop-in display will be guest curated by Paul Thurlow, featuring material from our Islington's Pride collection.
The Islington's Pride archive documents the history of LGBTQ+ life in the borough. The collection reflects the diversity of Islington's LGBTQ+ community, shedding light on pioneering political campaigns, vibrant nightlife, healthcare for those affected by HIV/AIDs, and the mundanities of everyday life.
Enjoy displays of unique archive material up close and at your own pace, with our archivists on hand to answer any questions.
This event is part of Islington Museum & Archives Pride Month programme, sharing stories and inspiration from the Islington's Pride archive collection. You can also explore our LGBTQ+ heritage map of Islington here.
There is no need to book a ticket - just drop-in between 3-6pm.
