‘Gillespie Gathering’ – 25 April 2026The Alumni team are looking forward to the forthcoming ‘Gillespie Gathering’ on Saturday 25 April 2026. The event will take place in the Muriel Spark Building at JGHS from 1 pm to 4 pm. Our speaker will be former pupil Margot McMurdo (1960 to 1973) and her topic will be ‘Confessions of a Scottish Tourist Guide’. Margot has designed tours for disabled and wheelchair-bound travellers and won several hospitality awards including the European Luxury Tour Guide Award. Her book ‘Edinburgh City Walks’ has been reprinted three times and is available on Amazon. Margot will bring some copies of her book to the April ‘Gathering’.
