A gentle, community-led series by East and Southeast Asian Scotland (ESAS), centred on creativity, care, and connection.
About this Event

East and Southeast Asian Scotland (ESAS) is a community organisation centred on justice, care, and migrant rights. Rooted in ESEA cultural competency, ESAS creates spaces for collective healing and learning around intersectional issues affecting racialised communities. Join our monthly gatherings at the Salisbury Centre to connect, share food, creativity, and ideas in a space that is welcoming, supportive, and inspiring.

This session brings together hands-on art-making and somatic mindfulness practices, inviting participants to slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and share space in a supportive and welcoming environment.

(Programme to be finalised)

Talisman Workshop invites participants to create personal textile pieces containing secret messages, spells, or affirmations for themselves and their community. Through stitching and layering meaningful materials, these talismans become objects of grounding, protection, and care.

Lino printing workshop explores migrant justice through textile or card printing, offering space for creative expression, storytelling, and collective reflection.

Somatic mindfulness sessions is a gentle, trauma-informed somatic mindfulness practice drawing from Qi Gong and movement. It supports grounding, nervous system regulation, and a sense of belonging through breath, movement, and rest. Inspired by nature, the session closes with reflection and a small takeaway to hold a sense of calm and connection.

Shared Meal of vibrant Malaysian spread of rich, comforting East, South and Southeast Asian flavours with vegan options available.

Together, these gatherings create space for self-expression, rest, empowerment, and collective wellbeing.
