? Dive into the Intriguing World of Harlem in the 1960s with Colson Whitehead's "Harlem Shuffle"

Join us for our April book club meeting as we explore "Harlem Shuffle," a captivating novel by the two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning author Colson Whitehead. This nominee for Best Mystery & Thriller in 2021 takes us on a thrilling journey through Harlem’s underbelly in the 1960s, offering a mix of heist, family saga, and a profound social commentary on race and power.

About the Book:

"Harlem Shuffle" is centered around Ray Carney, a seemingly upright furniture salesman in Harlem. On the surface, Carney leads a decent life, but beneath his respectable facade lies a heritage of crime and survival.
