Saturday, May 9 - Waltz the night away at Waltz Time's annual "An Evening with Strauss" Ball. The Ball is a benefit for the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture. Live music from 9 pm to midnight by OLDE VIENNA with Alexander Mitchell (viola/violin), Elke Baker (viola/violin), Susan Brandt (flute), Dave Wiesler (piano), Ralph Gordon (string bass.)The lesson at 8 pm (included with admission) is recommended for age 12 and older and is designed to help dancers prepare for the up-tempo Viennese waltzes. No partner necessary and ALL are welcome.
Admission is $30 per person ($20 full-time student with ID) payable by cash (preferred), check, Venmo or PayPal. Credit card payment is available and requires additional ticketing and credit cards fees.
There is so much to enjoy on this special night - the Grand March of all dancers in the Spanish Ballroom, the fun of an old-fashioned dance card, and even a ride on the Carousel which will be running especially for us! (Tickets purchased separately.) Formal or dressy attire is suggested but not required. Light refreshments provided! ALL are welcome.
