Anne-Marie Mulgrew & Dancers Company presents: Chapter 39 with Grit, Grace, and Whimsy
Anne-Marie Mulgrew and Dancers Company (AMM & DCO) is thrilled to return to the Performance Garage to celebrate its 39th Home Season Concert. AMM & DCO is a contemporary Philly-based troupe known for its “striking beauty, laugh-out loud humor and thought-provoking imagery.” (Broad Street Review)
Chapter 39 with Grit, Grace and Whimsy reflects on the Company’s rich history and explores themes of beauty, resilience, experimentation, joy, and uncertainty in today’s world. Choreographed by Artistic Director Anne-Marie Mulgrew, program highlights include three premieres Quartet for the Living Part 2, Solo for Four, and Improvisation for the Future featuring dancers Leslie Ann Pike, Shelby Bakota, Jasmin Cicchino, and Nerissa Tunnessen. Founding Company member Joe Cicala makes a rare cameo appearance. In Improvisation for the Future, AMM & DCO collaborates with percussionist Dr. Andy Thierauf and investigates the intersection of live music, dance, props, and projections. Rounding out the program are favorite repertory works for stage and film.
