Anna Stewart was a long-time campaigner for women’s rights and prominent union official when she died at the young age of 36 years. The Anna Stewart Memorial Project was established by the union movement in her honour as an annual work experience program aimed at increasing women’s active unioninvolvement.
This week long program includes training on organising and campaigns, recruitment, industrial and work health and safety law (to name a few things).
It also includes a visit to the Tasmanian Industrial Commission, a discussion with women MPs in the Tasmanian Parliament, and ends with our fantastic annual Women's Conference.
All the sessions are facilitated by Tasmanian union women and allies in a fully supportive environment.
If you're a union woman who wants to do a deep dive into all things union, build your skills, and expand your network, talk to your union about registering today!
