About this Event

Band leader Angus Moncrieff is a composer, arranger and trumpet player, and is Musical Director of London's John Ongom Big Band. He has orchestrated for dozens of TV shows such as The Assassin, The Tourist, Ripper Street, Primeval and Agatha Christie’s Marple, also playing trumpet on many of them. Angus has toured all over the UK, Europe, Brazil and Mexico with festival favourites Molotov Jukebox and various jazz and latin ensembles.


London-based Jazz and Big Band singer, Catherine Lima regularly performs at many of the capital's leading jazz venues, up to and including Ronnie Scotts. A charismatic and entertaining performer, she draws on influences such as Anita O'Day, Hoagy Carmichael, Patricia Barber, Barbra Streisand and Peggy Lee. Catherine has a warm expressive tone that she uses expertly to create moods from sultry to joyous, her charming personality shining through with each song.
