Where: The Hogwarts looking building opposite the Citadel where the Barbican meets the Hoe.What to expect: This is a ONE OFF, intimate night in Plymouth celebrating the release of In The Mind Of A Stranger, a songbook 20 years in the making, by Andy Quick of Land Of The Giants.
The book dives deep into the creative process and is both thought provoking and hugely relatable. It is packed with chords and lyrics to over 100 songs plus candid insights into what inspired these eclectic songs to be written at the time, including observations and tall tales from life on the road as frontman for one of the most exciting festival bands around.
On the night you can expect live music from Andy and his special guests plus lashings of spoken word from some of the city's best contemporary poets all in a beautiful, intimate 50 capacity space. You will be immersed in a celebration of the DIY creative mindset, the joy of words and of wordplay and the magic of songwriting and original live performance. And you’ll be contributing to the art scene in Plymouth….AND If that wasn’t enough you’ll also be getting a welcome mulled wine and mince pie!
Plus you can bring your own drinks to the event, wahey!
And you will of course be able to buy signed copies of the book to enjoy over the winter and beyond.
