Emily Drinker is an award-winning singer-songwriter from Philadelphia. She blends folk, pop, and rock with a high-energy band consisting of her best friends, plus soulful 3-part harmonies through live looping. Emily has been featured by NPR Music, Philadelphia's WXPN, and played at many regional festivals including Firefly, Musikfest, and the Main Stage at the Philadelphia Folk Festival. In 2022 Emily opened for rock icon Pat Benatar, baroque pop singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright, songwriting legend JD Souther (Linda Ronstadt, Eagles, James Taylor), and bass virtuoso Bakithi Kumalo (Paul Simon’s Graceland). In 2020 and 2021, she hosted and produced a livestream series with a friend called Every Cent Concerts to support local artists during the pandemic. In addition to her busy performance schedule in Philly and its surrounding areas, Emily enjoys working as a session vocalist doing sync work for national TV shows. Emily’s new album, Starting to Feel garnered her write-ups in magazines and blogs including Main Line Today, Music Mecca, and Dusty Organ. In 2023 Emily is focusing on touring (in South America and Europe!) and releasing new music.
Andrea Nardello’s fans describe her as relatable, passionate, soulful, and unapologetically real. A modern torch bearer for the powerful, independent female folk singer. Janis Ian meets Janice Joplin! Nardello's refined accessibility draws from folk, rock & pop. She can tug at your heartstrings with her softer tunes and get you dancing on your feet with her upbeat songs and powerful voice. Nardello’s recent career highlights include singing with Brandi Carlile at Carlile’s all women’s festival in Mexico and was then named a top “Emerging Artist To Know” by NPR. Nardello has toured extensively opening for well known artists like Colbie Caillat, Gabe Dixon, Emerson Hart of Tonic Fame, Tim Reynolds of The Dave Matthews Band and Ron Pope. Her fans are anxiously awaiting her new EP which will be released in the Fall of 2023!
Heather Hurlock is a veteran of the Philly Folk scene and founding member of barn rock outfit Tin Bird Choir. Known for her enchanting, honest, and heartfelt vocals, Heather’s been busy writing new songs in her home studio ever since the pandemic. “I started writing songs about longing—longing for connection, for change, for adventure—and sharing GarageBand demos with friends,” she says. She’s in the process of turning those demos into her first solo album she describes as “dive bar dream pop.” In the meantime, you can catch her wandering along Chester County streams, stalking sunshine and the perfect skipping stone.
While the performers love the audience to applaud, laugh and often sing along, too much conversation during the show distracts other listeners and is disrespectful to the songwriters who form the backbone of our music community.
We encourage talking before the show, between sets and after the show, but ask that during the performances, audience members keep their voices low and talking to a minimum.
