Rian Johnson is an Academy Award®-nominated filmmaker known for Knives Out, Glass Onion, Looper and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Johnson co-created the hit series Poker Face and executive produced 3 Body Problem through his company, T-Street. He returns to TIFF with Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.
B.J. Novak is a writer, director, actor, and producer whose work spans throughout comedy, drama, film and tv. He was a core creative force behind The Office, contributing as a writer, producer, director, and cast member. Novak made his feature directorial debut with Vengeance, a darkly comedic mystery that he also wrote and starred in. A #1 New York Times bestselling author, he is also known for his books One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories and The Book With No Pictures.
