About this Event

On March 7th, Flashband is hitting Black Cat with a showcase for the ages: “I Want My MTV Flashband!” For over 40 years, we dialed into iconic TV music moments, studied our favorite artists, and learned every new song and dance move. This Flashband will pay homage to decades of iconic MTV artists and songs that shaped music, culture, and airwaves for generations.... Because music never dies!

How the lottery works

Register for a spot in the lottery between 12-1pm ET

Once you've completed your purchase, you'll receive an automated email from Eventbrite verifying your lottery spot. This does not confirm your participation in Flashband.
After the lottery is closed, you'll get a follow-up email from the Flashband Director with more details on what to expect.
By Monday, you'll receive an email with your status and next steps:

>> Participants (performers) will get a Welcome and Jam Prep email. This tells you all you need to know about the Meet & Greet Jam on Sunday and how to prepare. You'll have 48 hours to notify the Director if you can't participate.

>> Waitlisters will get a Waitlist email. Waitlisters will be contacted by the Director if a slot becomes available, and will be refunded after the showcase if they do not come off the waitlist. Waitlisters do not attend the jam. More details in FAQs at www.flashbanddc.com.

Requirements: You must be available for the jam date and the showcase date to participate. Read more in our FAQs.
