"I Got This"- International Women's Day Community Event

Join us, in-person, for a day of connection, reflection, and empowerment as we celebrate resilience. Featuring free workshops, a free lunch (courtesy of Radius and fig&lemon Catering), an art exhibit, a free clothing boutique, door prizes (ranging in value from $10-$500), raffles (including spa visits at a $300 value), and more!

Every day, women and non-binary people face the harsh consequences of mental health, including stigma, misperceptions, lack of options, and significant isolation. Due to this recognition, an educational support group was developed to help address these and other hardships. The take-away from this endeavor is that women and non-binary folks who have significant and persistent mental illnesses are truly a unique group that deserve to be recognized for their incredible strength.

Therefore, in recognition of International Women's Day, this "I Got This" event will honor and celebrate these women and non-binary people in our community. We will be hosting meaningful activities and workshops that will highlight the resilience these individuals demonstrate.

The "I Got This" event creates a safe, inclusive space where attendees will feel empowered, connected, and respected. The goal is to offer enhanced understanding, empathy, and compassion, creating spaces where women and non-binary folks feel safe, seen, and supported.

Info: Check-in and workshop registration will occur outside of the auditorium on Level 1. This is situated right next to the main entrance of the hospital, most easily accessed by West 5th Street.

Info: Attendees may choose from one of the following workshops to join: "Women's Health Concerns," "Together, We Rise: A Collective Painting Experience," "Resilient Within: An Introduction to Yoga, Breath, and Meditation," or "Internal Peace, Self-Acceptance and Compassion."

Info: Attendees may choose from one of the following workshops to join: "Our City: Where to Turn, Assessing Community Resources and Enhancing ***," "Strengthening my Voice, Communicating Needs, Boundaries, and Responding to Unsolicited Advice," "Finding Balance through an Indigenous Lens," "Picturing Possibility: Seeing the Life You're Building," or "Caring for the Brain: Understanding Cognition, Brain Health, and Self-Care Strategies."
