Partners in Health (PIH) Canada and Medical Innovation in Global Health (MIGH) Case Competition
Are you interested in health, medicine, social justice, or making a real difference in the world? Join us for an exciting, hands-on case competition where you’ll tackle a real global health challenge: tuberculosis (TB).
In this competition, you and your team will step into the role of global health problem-solvers. You’ll work with a real-life case inspired by Partners In Health Canada’s work and design creative, practical solutions to improve TB care in under-resourced communities.
Who Should Participate:
- High school students interested in medicine, nursing, science, social sciences, global health, and social justice
- Teams of up to 4 students
(You can sign up with a team or register individually and be placed on one.)
How it Works:
- One week before the event, you’ll join a virtual session where you will receive a case package with background information about tuberculosis in Lesotho and the factors that affect health and access to care.
- On competition day, your team will receive a real TB-related challenge faced by Partners In Health.
- You’ll have the day to:
- Analyze the problem
- Design a solution
- Prepare a presentation
- Teams will present to judges, who will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

- To register as a team: Purchase a Team Registration ticket, then select the number of team members.
- To register individually: Choose Individual Registration and we’ll place you on a team when you arrive.
