Classical Mischief - Music for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio

Featuring Norman Menzales, Principal Flute of the Wyoming and Fort Collins Symphonies; Yolanda Tapia, piano, University of Toronto and Western Ontario; Ben Hornacek, bass, Wyoming Symphony; and Ross Coons, percussion, Wyoming Symphony. The program features Mike Mower’s Sonata Latino—a rhythm-driven work infused with Latin jazz energy and improvisatory spirit—alongside Claude Bolling’s Suite No. 1, a beloved crossover classic that fuses Baroque elegance with swing, blues, and irresistible jazz grooves.
