About this Event
Join us at Odell Brewing to learn more about the foundational agrivoltaics research being conducted at Colorado State University and how it can help agricultural producers in Colorado and the Mountain West. Mark Uchanski is an associate professor of horticulture at Colorado State University. He manages the CSU Agrivoltaics Testing Grounds at the ARDEC research farm in Fort Collins, Colorado. The first Agrivoltaics Testing Grounds array was installed in 2019 and includes semi-transparent modules to evaluate the balance of crop production and electrical output on an operational farm. In 2024, the Testing Grounds were expanded to include three rows of vertical bifacial modules. This is a first in Colorado and our region. Today, Mark will describe those projects as well as the rest of the growing CSU agrivoltaics portfolio.
