ABOUT RICHARD LAWSON
Richard Lawson is a Hollywood actor, director, teacher, and leader with a career spanning nearly 60 years. His film credits include Steven Spielberg’s Poltergeist, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, Guess Who, Wag the Dog, and For Colored Girls with Janet Jackson and Whoopi Goldberg. On television, he starred in Dynasty, MacGyver, Parenthood, NYPD Blue, Judging Amy, and originated Lucas Barnes on All My Children, earning a Daytime Emmy nomination. Currently, he appears in Divorce in the Black (#1 film on Amazon Prime) and Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black (#1 Netflix series). He also founded Richard Lawson Studios, mentoring generations of actors.
