Join us for the UK launch of "Girls Left In The Woods Become Archaeologists." A collection of poetic prose by Katerina Zherebtsova. Together with poet Sara Nesbitt Gibbons, they will read from their works and discuss resilience and poetic journeys in the intimate setting of The Glebe House London
The £20 ticket price includes a welcome drink, and a copy of Katerina's book. Proceeds go to the Gaia Women’s Refuge in nearby Brixton, supporting women fleeing domestic violence.
About Katerina Zherebtsova-
"Girls Left in the Woods Become Archaeologists” published by BC Athens, is the title of her debut 2025book of poetic prose, which explores themes of womanhood, motherhood, societal violence, and politicalanxieties. This is a collection of personal archaeology and digging into life around her for the answers.Described as a ‘A fairylike pop collection of poems about what it means to become a woman in a trickworld. K. Z.’s crystal clear and generous voice speaks to those who want to reclaim their own thread ofthe story.’ Dimitra Ioannou, poet, author, publisher of A) GLIMPSE) OF)Katerina is a mother of three. Born in Moscow, raised in London and now residing in Athens, she holds a BA in Communications from Goldsmiths University and an MA in Applied Imagination from Central St. Martins. She is the co-creator of Athenians Assembly, a series of poetic evenings for women poets in Athens and is currently working on her first novel.
About Sara Nesbitt Gibbons-
Sara Nesbitt Gibbons comes from London. Her debut collection, And They Are Clapping, is published by Indigo Dreams https://indigodreamspublishing.com/sara-nesbitt-gibbons. In this book, home, family and the body bring love and hope, plus the strange and quiet legacies of domestic violence and loss. Sara's work has been widely published in journals, magazines and anthologies and listed / placed in competitions which include the Troubadour International Poetry Prize and the Hippocrates Prize for Poetry and Medicine.
