About Edwards Wines
The Edwards estate is the embodiment of an enduring spirit of adventure and an unwavering quest for excellence. It all began in 1990 when vineyard founder Brian Edwards piloted his 1943 Tiger Moth Matilda across the world from England to Australia. This epic solo flight became one of the annals of aviation history and a remarkable journey for charity. Brian’s passion and determination led him to purchase land in nearby Margaret River, where he planted vines and built the Edwards estate. Today, Matilda’s vintage aircraft holds pride of place at the Margaret River Cellar Door, serving as a reminder that there are no limits to what can be accomplished through passion and determination.
