About this Event
Whether you're a seasoned gamer or new to the world of social deduction games, this event offers something for everyone. Our events are a great way to connect with members of local communities and are perfect for folks arriving in Toronto looking to make new friends.
Age recommendation for Blood on the Clocktower, 19 years +
What is Blood on the Clocktower? Blood on the Clocktower is an advanced version of the game Werewolf, and crucially, the dead still have an important role to play in the game. The game is run by a Storyteller who has carefully crafted an experience and facilitates the game for up to 20 players. It is part deduction and part deception. Set in the little town of Ravenswood Bluff, players in the game assume different roles, each with unique abilities to hunt down the evil or stay hidden as one.
For new players, check out the BOTC tutorial video created by Changeling Gaming's head storyteller, Jeremy, to learn the basics of the game ahead of the event. There will also be time at the top of the game to review rules and ask questions.
General Admission Tickets: Thanks to the generosity of Storm Crow Manor, we will have their Red Rum Room in which to play BOTC. Tickets for this event include access to the game, a tutorial of the game Blood on the Clocktower if new players are in attendance, and a full playthrough of the game. Tickets also include a themed cocktail (or non-alcoholic equivalent) and delicious bites from their menu. Tickets are priced and sold per person.
For this event, we will be playing the custom beginner-plus script: Dark and Stormy
Changeling Membership Admission: Our Changeling Special Events Membership includes event discounts for our paid subscribers. After just two events in a month, our members save, with a potential for over $80 in savings monthly! Each Membership ticket purchased must have a single individual corresponding Patreon membership subscription or temporary membership pass. Proof of subscription will be required at the door.
Food & Drink: Included in your ticket is one cocktail drink ticket (or non-alcoholic equivalent) and nibbles. There is no minimum spend, but purchasing is strongly encouraged to support the venue so they can keep offering these BOTC themed nights with us. Storm Crow has an impressively extensive themed drinks menu available (with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options), plus an excellent menu for snacks and full meal options.
Attire: BOTC thrives on atmosphere and a mysterious setting; for this event, themed costumes are required. For our Evening of Spirits, guests are invited to dress in spooky sophistication—think refined, dark and moody vintage, and mysterious rather than gory or cartoonish. Channel the spirits of a bygone era, haunted aristocrats, gothic socialites, or otherworldly guests who might linger in a candlelit mansion long after midnight, that blur the line between eerie elegance and ghostly glamour.
: Changeling Gaming is a collective of game instructors who host both public and private game experiences in Toronto and together create game content for YouTube. Our mission is to help folks find the right games for their tables and to create safe, accessible, and welcoming spaces to play games and make new friends along the way.
: Storm Crow Manor is a science fiction-themed restaurant and bar in Toronto's Church and Wellesley neighbourhood. The interior of the Manor includes a variety of themed rooms, as well as an exciting themed menu to explore.
A note about Canadian Blood Services (CBS): Our events are only possible because of local community support. At Changeling Gaming, we work to give back so that we can all keep gaming together.
