About Doug Kennedy

Doug Kennedy is a photographer, ecologist and lifelong environmental campaigner who specialises in exploring little-visited regions and documenting landscapes and wildlife.

He holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Studies and has written seven books on English landscapes and natural history, including his latest title Wildlife of the Pennine Hills (Merlin Unwin).

Doug has led and initiated several successful environmental campaigns, including the Chalk Streams Action Group and Save The River Thame (now River Thame Conservation Trust). He actively monitors wildlife and surveys butterflies.

His talks are informative, accessible to all audiences, beautifully illustrated with his own photography, and tailored to suit each event.
