👣 About the teachers
Amanda & Sergio approach tango as a practice of presence. Their work is grounded in the embrace and improvisation, supported by rigorous technique and a contemporary understanding of movement. For over six years, they have developed a partnership that treats tango not as choreography, but as a living system of communication between two bodies.
Based in Buenos Aires, they are certified instructors of the Dinzel System and active teachers at Estudio Dinzel and the Centro Educativo de Tango de Buenos Aires (CETBA), where they also train future tango instructors. Their background spans social dance, stage work, tango-dance productions, live music collaborations, and audiovisual projects.
Their teaching focuses on structure, clarity, and choice. Technique is not an aesthetic goal, but a tool for freedom and precise improvisation. Classes emphasize listening, decision-making, and real partner dialogue, challenging dancers to move beyond habits and empty formulas. Each class is shaped to the students in the room, their experience, and their capacity to engage with tango as an evolving practice.
This is tango for dancers who are curious, critical, and ready to take responsibility for their own dance.
