All Strings Attached: A Touch of Tango and Co-Creation Project VIII

Orchestra Novo is delighted to invite you to join us for a very special All -String program at 4 PM on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at the Harold J. Miossi Cuesta PAC. This multi-layered concert will begin with Edvard Grieg's popular Holberg Suite based on 18th century dance forms to be followed by Morten Lauriden's riveting O Magnum Mysterium accompanied by the Cuesta Chamber Singers with artwork by the Kiwanis Aktion Club of Atascadero. This is the latest installment of our continuing Co-Creation Project.
After intermission, the Keiko Cadby Tango Ensemble will join forces with the Novo strings to celebrate the rich dance tradition of Argentina and Uruguay. Keiko will guide us on an historical musical voyage of romance and intrigue.
Co-Creation Project has been staple of Orchestra Novo's commitment to community outreach having collaborated with the Grizzly Academy, Alzheimer's Facilities, the SLO Autism Spectrum Center, Transition Mental Health Association, ECHO, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and most recently, the Kiwanis Aktion Club. This music/art project offers participants the opportunity to listen to classical music and paint what the music inspires in them. We then present those paintings on a screen as we play that same music live.
