All around the Table, a dinner gala just for you ✨
Come join us for an afternoon of food, stories, and community. All Around the Table is a free gathering for people from refugee and migrant backgrounds. It’s a space to relax, meet new people, and feel at home.
This event was inspired by our own experiences as refugees and first-generation citizens navigating the UK. We know how isolating and difficult it can feel at times, and how comforting and supportive it is to be around people who understand. That’s why we created Gate of Success, a club where we can share great meals together, stories, and build friendships, so nobody has to feel alone in their journey.
So get your tickets and enjoy a curated, gourmet three-course meal prepared by talented chefs, bringing together flavors from different cultures and homes. Spend the afternoon with storytelling, games, and banging music. You’re only required to wear your best traditional outfit (if you like) and bring yourself or friends. We hope you come curious and leave not only with a little gift bag, but feeling celebrated, gaining new friendships and a support system.
At the event, we’ll be gathering your favourite home-cooked recipes to create a living community cookbook. Your dishes and stories will then be featured in an exhibition at the BAC, bringing everyone’s experiences from around the table together in one vibrant space.
There will also be resources and support available for anyone who needs them.
