About this Event
Alchemy by Fire: A Community Grief Circle
Grief is a natural response to loss, yet many of us carry it quietly and alone. Alchemy by Fire is a guided community grief circle created to offer a supportive space for reflection, connection, and witnessing for the Middle Tennessee community.
During the evening, participants will gather around candlelight and fire to honor personal experiences of loss. The circle will include gentle somatic grounding practices, guided writing, and a short teaching on the Five Gates of Grief inspired by the work of Francis Weller. Live classical guitar and sound bowls will accompany the gathering, helping create a calm and contemplative atmosphere.
This event is designed to provide a compassionate container where grief can be acknowledged and held in community. There is no expectation to share; participants are welcome simply to be present and engage in whatever way feels right.
The circle is facilitated by members of the Farewell community, a collective of trained death doulas who offer support in end-of-life care, grief support, and death education.
