About this Event
As part of our Portsmouth 100 engagement programme, we are delivering a wide range of talks throughout the year at Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery. All talks are free to attend, and everyone is welcome.
The first talk is: James Jackson - rediscovering a 'lost' geology collection by Christine Taylor.
In the 1930s, James Jackson was commissioned to collect fossils for the City of Portsmouth. Delve into the correspondence file reveals the efforts of an enthusiastic collector and what happened to the collection with Curator of Natural History, Christine Taylor.
The talk will be delivered in our actvity room, on the ground floor of Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery.
