About this Event
Join us for a weekly outdoor learning club designed to inspire curiosity, confidence and connection with nature in the beautiful setting of St Andrews Botanic Garden.
Led by experienced teacher Duncan Barrable, these sessions provide children with the opportunity to explore, play and learn outdoors through hands-on activities that support wellbeing, independence and environmental awareness.
Sessions will take place every Friday from 3:30–4:30pm, and include walked school pick-up from Canongate Primary School.

About the Session Leader
Duncan is an experienced teacher with a strong background in outdoor learning. Throughout his career, he has consistently used the outdoors as a powerful context for learning, recognising the impact it has on children’s wellbeing, confidence and engagement. Time spent outside supports physical health, encourages curiosity, builds resilience and gives children the freedom to explore, take risks and develop independence in a natural setting.
He has a wide range of experience including beach school, forest school and leading outdoor residential adventures, working with children across different ages and needs. Duncan is also currently involved in educational research, with a focus on how meaningful outdoor experiences can support learning and development."
