Discover the Essence of Timba at the Afro-Timba Mastery WeekendIf Cuban Salsa and Timba are your passion, this event is for you. In this event, you will not only learn figures or choreographic combinations, but also play with breaks and time changes during partner dancing. But the best part is that, at the end of the weekend, you’ll walk away with an invaluable gift: a deeper understanding of the music you dance to.
Afro-Cuban rhythms, especially Rumba, are the fundamental base of Timba, from the percussion to the lyrics of the songs you listen to every day.
On Saturday, June 28, and Sunday, June 29, we invite you to experience this with us: an immersive weekend where we will explore the roots of Timba, connecting with its energy, history, and musical expression. More than a dance event, this will be an opportunity to transform the way you feel and dance to the music.
So, are you ready to experience music in a completely new way?
We’ll see you at the Afro-Timba Mastery Weekend🤗.

⚜️What level do I need to attend the classes?
This event is designed for intermediate/advanced dancers, especially for partner dancing classes, as there will be dynamic exercises with breaks, off-beat changes, and more. We know that some people have been dancing for longer than others, but the pace of learning varies based on each person’s talent, so some will progress faster than others.
✴️ For the Rumba classes, some prior experience is required, either from attending our classes or having basic knowledge, as we won’t be focusing too much on the basic steps.
✴️ For the Afro-Cuban classes, the level is open. We will start from the basics and gradually increase the level as we progress through the class. Even if you have some experience, there are always details that can be refined with small feedback.
It’s not necessary to come with a partner, but it’s always more fun to dance with your dance partner.
⚠️ And to top off the event, on Sunday, June 29, there will be a concert by the famous and acclaimed Alexander Abreu y Havana D’Primera at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. A perfect way to end the weekend with pure energy and flavor💃🏼🕺🏽!
Saludos,
Yohan y Elaine😃
