L'Alliance Française Toronto est heureuse d'accueillir une soirée présentée par l'Institut français Canada, mettant en vedette l'artiste français aux multiples talents Ouissem Belgacem.
La soirée comprendra la projection des deux premiers épisodes de la série documentaire Adieu ma honte, adaptée de son livre du même nom. Cette histoire autobiographique poignante suit Belgacem, un jeune homme issu de la banlieue en passe de devenir footballeur professionnel, dont l'homosexualité, en contradiction avec sa religion et la culture de son sport, a radicalement changé le cours de sa vie.
La projection sera suivie d'une conversation avec l'athlète et écrivain dont le livre a inspiré la série, animée par l'écrivain et journaliste Soufiane Chakkouche.

Alliance Française Toronto is pleased to host an evening presented by Institut français Canada, featuring the multi-talented French artist Ouissem Belgacem.
The evening will include a screening of the first two episodes of the documentary series Adieu ma honte, adapted from his book of the same name. This powerful autobiographical story follows Belgacem, a young man from the suburbs on track for a professional football career, whose homosexuality—at odds with both his religion and the culture of his sport—dramatically altered the course of his life.
The screening will be followed by a conversation with the athlete and writer whose book inspired the series, facilitated by writer and journalist Soufiane Chakkouche.
