About this Event
ADHD & Executive Functioning Workshop for Parents & Teens
w/ Mike McLeod of GrowNOW ADHD.
Are you a parent looking to empower your child with ADHD to thrive? Do you know a teenager who wants to understand how they can focus more and stay organized? Do you wish you or your child could get some tips on not falling apart when logistics get complicated? Join us for an engaging workshop that dives into the challenges of executive dysfunction—and how to turn them into opportunities for growth. No ADHD diagnosis is necessary to learn from this workshop.
From forgotten assignments and disorganized backpacks to struggles with transitioning between activities, executive functioning deficits can create daily hurdles for kids, especially those with ADHD or attention challenges. This session, led by GrowNOW ADHD coach Mike McLeod, will explore practical, research-backed strategies to help you assess and address these challenges using a language-based approach. We'll learn about reframing the external signs of ADHD as an expression of internal skill development related to self-regulation.
You’ll walk away with tools to help your child develop personalized and resilient self-talk, enabling them to boost their organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
This event is hosted by Natural Creativity (NC) and GrowNOW ADHD and co-sponsored by Philly ALC and Cupola Academy. NC is a self-directed resource center in Germantown that supports homeschooling families. Our parent workshops are open to the public -- because all of us are smarter than any one of us.
