About this Event
You’re invited to a free behind-the-scenes spatial audio demo, hosted by Polygon Live, The Other Side and L-Acoustics. We’re giving you an insider’s perspective into why we do what we do — and how we do it, too. Hear this game-changing technology first-hand at The Other Side on 16 October 2024 as part of the Amsterdam Dance Event.
Maybe you’ve already heard some of the buzz around spatial audio. You might even have sampled it on a set of headphones. But have you ever heard it live? Without headphones? In a space rigged with speakers placed around you and above you? Have you ever felt you were somehow physically inside the music?
Spatial audio is beginning to revolutionise live music. Hear us out, quite literally, and experience for yourself why it changes everything.
During the demo we’ll show you:
- How L-Acoustics’ L-ISA spatial audio works
- How it creates exceptional experiences
- How easy it is to deploy with the right technology
- Why you should be as excited about it as we are (hint: it sounds better — way better)
This event isn’t just for audiophiles and engineers (although you’re very welcome, you’ll be in excellent company). It’s for everyone who has an interest in the potential of spatial audio and the future of live events. It’s for artists, managers, promoters, venues, brands, journalists and music lovers who believe there’s more to how we experience music.

THE VENUE
The demo and live music nights will be hosted at The Other Side, the only nightclub in the world with a permanent L-Acoustics L-ISA install. The Other Side’s main, 900-capacity room boasts a fully immersive 14.1.5 configuration designed to wrap the audience in a 360° auditory experience: 14 speakers in the round, five overhead channels and eight powerful subs. Specialist spatial sound engineers from both Polygon and The Other Side will be using L-Acoustics’ L-ISA processor to drive the spatialisation, making individual elements of each song move around, above and through you.
ACCESSIBILITY
The workshop will take place in English without sign language assistance. The venue, The Other Side, is wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets. The event may involve loud or prolonged sound which may not be suitable for those who experience sound sensitivity.
