Overview
This training will define Intimate Partner Violence, as well as discuss common warning signs and red flags. We will discuss challenges and safety risks of staying in relationships as well as risks of leaving the relationship- both emotionally and physically. This training will discuss empowerment strategies related to working with clients and how to adapt interventions to clients’ readiness for change.
Presenters
Angela Langenfeld is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the state of Wisconsin with a Specialty to Treat Substance Use Disorders. Angela completed her Master of Science in Community Counseling at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Angela is an Internal Family Systems (IFS) Informed therapist who has also trained in the Comprehensive Resource Model of treatment. Angela currently provides trauma responsive clinical supervision and therapy through Professional Services Group. Angela strives to cultivate and inspire a strengths based, trauma informed, and culturally responsive lens to case conceptualization.
Brea Quadracci received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. She currently provides mental health therapy through Professional Services Group for adults and adolescents over the age of 12. She has experience working with a wide range of mental health concerns. Brea has a special interest in complex trauma, LGBTQ-friendly, healthy relationships, and integrating cultural awareness. She has experience working in all levels of care, including working with women escaping domestic violence, sexual assault services, homeless outreach, and programming empowering adults living with mental illness. She believes in client-centered, mindfulness-based, feminist empowerment, solution-focused, and strength-based approaches. She creates and utilizes integrative therapeutic techniques and psychotherapy tools best suited for each unique client’s needs. In her free time, she often is outdoors, hiking, camping, attending music concerts, cooking, and spending time with her dog.
