About this Event
In this integrative and supportive workshop, we will explore the ancient practices of acupuncture and yoga to nourish both body and mind during the winter months. Winter, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), is a time to slow down, conserve energy, and focus on grounding and restoration. Together, we’ll harness the power of AcuYoga, a beautiful fusion of yoga postures and targeted acupressure points, to promote warmth, improve circulation, and strengthen your inner balance.
Join Terri, a licensed acupuncturist, and Karen, a certified yoga teacher at Moksha, as they guide you through a carefully designed practice combining:
- Yoga postures that are aligned with the energy of the winter season, focusing on grounding, relaxation, and building internal heat.
- Acupuncture/acupressure points integrated into your yoga practice, selected to support the kidneys and bladder, which are the organs associated with winter in TCM. These points will help boost immunity, promote circulation, and conserve energy.
- Breathing techniques and mindfulness to center the mind, encouraging deep rest and relaxation.
Karen is an experienced yoga teacher who believes in yoga’s transformative power to heal both body and mind. She specializes in trauma-informed practices, incorporating adaptive techniques and aromatherapy to create a supportive and healing environment.
Terri is a board-certified acupuncturist and herbal practitioner with a passion for digestive and reproductive health, viewing healing as a holistic process.
