About this Event
This workshop is open to everyone. If you wish to develop your fundamental toolkit as an actor, then this is the one for you. Key concepts and techniques explored will include: acting as reacting, how to break down a text, embodying a character, responding truthfully in the moment - and finding a real emotional connection.
Collective's approach to acting synthesises exercises from some of the greatest practitioners, including Stanislavski, Meisner, Hagen, Adler, Laban and Katie Mitchell.
As the course is developmental, you are encouraged to book in for all six sessions - but for you can also use the classes as a drop-in session around your other work.
Actors trained at Collective in the last three years have gone on to work in Hollywood films, on Broadway, for the National Theatre, in the West End and in series for Netflix, HBO, BBC, ITV and Channel 4.
We are passionate about working with actors from underrepresented groups and we will always seek to break down barriers to access in professional actor-training. Scholarships are available for those who are facing challenging circumstances. If you want to learn more about how to apply, email [email protected]
