About this Event
Limited To Return Students
This event is limited to return students only. You need to have been to at least one of our classes. There won't be any instruction during the shoot. You have to already know some acro. And if you've been to at least one of our classes, that's enough. We'll make you look good.
Also because this shoot requires a lot of coordination, we want to know you already and we you to already know us.
To sign up, you need an access code. The access code is in our WhatsApp group description. If you've been to our classes, you've probably joined the group.
What's the deal?
We've done a few photoshoots after class. The photoshoot in the Times Square subway system was especially fun. This time, we are taking it to Grand Central to take photos of acroyoga poses in even more iconic settings.
How is it going to go down?
- Leading up to the day, you'll receive a Google spreadsheet where you can sign up for a slot(s). You'll want to coordinate to get a base, flyer, spotter, and pose. That way, we'll be able to focus on shooting rather than people standing around figuring out what to do.
- We'll meet at the info booth in the main concourse.
- We'll head to different locations in Grand Central to take photos.
What's with the slow and fast sessions?
You can choose which one fits you better or pick both.
- 2 PM to 3 PM: Slow session: Prepare to wait and hold poses for a long time. We'll give photographers and lighting time to get into position. This will take time. You may have to move a few times until we get a golden shot. We want to work on posing to get that special something.
- 3 PM to 4 PM: Fast session: This is how we usually operate. We get one trio after the next, ready to pose and shoot. We are going to have a high turnover to give everyone a chance to go and preferably multiple times.
What do I need?
- Your adventurous self.
- Something to drink and perhaps a snack if you do both sessions.
- Pack minimally so that your hands are free to help hold stuff as people pose and to hold lighting/photo equipment.
Rules And Regulations!
To stay below the need for a commercial permit, we are limited to not using tripods. And we must stay clear to not impact pedestrian flow.
