Join author Morag Rose for a very special walk and talk with her book The Feminist Art of Walking.
The Feminist Art of Walking:
celebrates women who have transformed the everyday act of walking into powerful works of art and activism
Shares stories from twenty years of wanders around Manchester with The LRM (Loiterers Resistance Movement)
Argues for the importance of public space and more accessible, equitable streets
Explores how walking together connects communities and might just help us change the world
This Feminism is intersectional and walking is inclusive of all bodies. The walk will be on pavements in Manchester city centre with frequent stops to share stories. If you have any specific access needs please get in touch so we can plan our route accordingly
The walk will last around two hours and we will finish at The House of Books and Friends. Their café will be open for and their will be time and space for more conversations, and book signing.
