The Amalthea Ensemble is going on tour in aid of Joy of Learning! Alice Cheer (cello) and Meg Diamond (flute) will be joined by Eleanor Chapman (viola), as well as organist John Cheer. The programme will feature organ music by Bach, Franck and Eben, in addition to chamber works by composers such as Weber and Schubert, and a brand-new commission by Millicent B James. All proceeds will go to Joy of Learning (charity no: 1194700) which supports the education and wellbeing of children previously cared for by Sanyu Babies’ Home in Kampala, Uganda. Do join us for a wonderfully varied afternoon of live music, and help to change the lives of children who now live all over Uganda.
