About this Event

A Sevillian Town Square: A Barber of Seville Family Experience featuring a BRAND NEW Puppet Premiere by Emily Butterfly

Bearitone the Opera Bear and his friends at San Francisco Opera invite you for a stroll through a lively Sevillian Town Square.

Music fills the air and a clever barber named Figaro keeps all the town’s folk buzzing with mischief and play. Sneak through the Count’s closet of disguises, try your hand at a few games in the plaza, and enjoy sweet treats under the orange trees.

As the sun begins to set, gather round for highlights from the opera performed live from Rosina’s balcony, including beloved arias and serenades that bring Seville to life.

Just when you think the story has been told, be sure to linger for a whimsical new Puppet Premiere with the luminous Edutainer, Emily Butterfly. Watch her magical world unfold with puppets galore as the final bow to our Sevillian celebration.

Whether you’re crafting, accessorizing, or simply striking a pose, this joyful adventure is your invitation to join the fun.

Advance registration is required. Each child will receive a San Francisco Opera Goodie Bag and an invitation to join Opera Cubs (the official fan club of Bearitone the Opera Bear) and parents will receive a discount code for upcoming events at San Francisco Opera.
