About this Event
Grief after violence often leaves us without words, and sometimes, language fails. This workshop invites participants to explore a different form of expression—photography—to reflect, communicate, and continue their healing journey.
Using just the camera on your phone and your eye for moments that matter, we’ll capture images that speak the truths we might not yet be ready to say aloud. With prompts and gentle guidance, you’ll explore the space around AVP and nearby outdoor areas to visually narrate your grief story—without pressure, without needing to explain.
Facilitated by Steve Jackson, this three-hour experience is for adults 18 and older who are
navigating grief and seeking creative, nonverbal ways to process loss.
What You’ll Need:
- A camera/phone with a camera
- Journal or notepad (optional, supplies provided)
- Comfortable walking shoes
- A willingness to explore and reflect
Space is limited. Registration required.
