About this Event
Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating LGBTQ+ stories and voices, with the Seattle Premiers of the impactful short "Blue Boy" by Nick Dodani, followed by the heartfelt feature "A Nice Indian Boy” starring Karan Soni, Jonathan Groff, Zarna Garg and Sunita Mani.
Stick around for a live Q&A with filmmakers and actors, Nick Dodani, Roshan Sethi, and Karan Soni as they share behind-the-scenes stories.
“Blue Boy”: A mischievous 12-year-old believes he's the reincarnation of Krishna after a vision, leading to a unique coming-of-age story set in the American suburbs of the early 90s, based on Rakesh Satyal's novel "Blue Boy."
“A Nice Indian Boy”: When Naveen brings his fiancé Jay home to meet his traditional Indian family, they must contend with accepting his white-orphanartist boyfriend and helping them plan the Indian wedding of their dream.
The screening is part of the Tasveer Film Festival, an Academy Award Qualifying festival dedicated to bring out the best of South Asian awareness through films. Check out more at www.tasveerfestival.org
