About this Event
Join us on a Fruity Walk through South London, where trees tell stories of migration, resilience, and community. Part of the Grow Urban Festival 2026.
Starting at Old Paradise Garden, we’ll explore a hidden orchards, as well as extraordinary fruit trees in front gardens and the voices behind them, who planted them, how they arrived, and what they reveal about our city.
This walk is for Londoners passionate about nature, connection, and discovering a different side to London. Through mindfulness, tree identification, and storytelling, we’ll explore how green spaces foster belonging and wellbeing. Expect surprising discoveries, including trees you wouldn’t expect in London!
Led by Divya Hariramani Herrero, an urban fruit tree forager and Renewable Energy Consultant working on the built environment while running Fruity Walks on the side, this walk invites you to listen, learn, and help reimagine London’s future, one fruit tree at a time.
