About this Event
Opening reception/Private View: Wednesday 3 June, 6pm to 8pm
This show takes its name from what the artist John Bunker nicknamed the "Dark Malarkey": those fragile points in the art-making process where work which has become repetitive and predictable must be disrupted, deformed and sometimes destroyed to make way for something unforeseen to emerge.
Both complex and suggestive, Bunker's abstract works can be a subtle or sometimes brutal yoking together of two and three dimensions. The results are always intriguing - by turns, unsettling and seductive to the eye.
