About this Event
Pianists Amina and Daria present an evening spanning the golden age of European classical music. The programme opens with three miniatures by Gabriel Fauré — the tender Berceuse, the playful Mi-a-ou, and the spirited Le pas Espagnol. Sergei Rachmaninoff follows with two pieces for piano four hands: a dreamy Romance and a sweeping Waltz, full of distinctly Russian warmth. Camille Saint-Saëns conjures the midnight world of his celebrated Danse Macabre, before Tchaikovsky takes the stage with highlights from Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake — Scene, Waltz, and Dance of the Little Swans — arranged for piano duo. The evening closes with the fiery passion of Brahms’ Hungarian Dances Nos. 1 and 5. Between works, Amina and Darya will share stories about the era and inspiration behind each piece, turning the concert into a true journey through music history.
