808 State stand as pioneers of UK electronic music. A group that didn’t just define an era, but laid the foundations for much of the club culture we know today. This February night they do a rare DJ set in our basement in Møllergata 23.
Emerging from Manchester’s late-80s underground, they fused techno, acid house, ambient, IDM, and experimental electronics into a sound that shaped generations. Their breakthrough track, Pacific State, became a milestone in modern club music, while their influence stretches across the wider club scene. From early warehouse culture to Aphex Twin’s iconic remix and the countless producers who followed.
They influenced artists across all musical landscapes and are cited as foundational by electronic greats like Aphex Twin, Autechre, and many others. Along the way, they collaborated with artists like Björk and Bernard Sumner (New Order), bringing their forward-thinking sound into a wider musical landscape.
Decades later, 808 State remain a blueprint for innovation and boundary-pushing sound, and their music sounds as fresh, forward-thinking, and essential today as it did back then.
Nadda
Over the past decade, Oslo-based DJ and visual artist Nadda has become a name to notice in the Norwegian club scene. Through striking visuals and sharp selections, she has played venues from Østre in Bergen to Blå and Hærverk in Oslo, crafting sonic atmospheres that blend electro, breakbeat, acic, trance and more.
Erik M.
With a penchant for dark, melancholic music, Erik M has in recent years found his placing making sounds that moves between dub, noise, and more traditional instrumentations. Bass elements are woven together with noisy recordings of chimes, guitar, and piano, often manipulated beyond recognition. His debut album Soft Wish arrived on Kora Sounds spring 2025, and landed it self praise from respected tastemakers such as Boomkat and Resident Advisor, and ended up in the shelves at record stores like Hard Wax in Berlin, Rush hour in Amsterdam and Phonica in London.
L.I.T.S.W.D.
A DJ with a wide-ranging scope who has opened for artists as diverse as Lee Gamble, Omar Souleyman, Silver Apples, B12, Goldie, Jeff Mills’ Tomorrow Comes The Harvest, Thurston Moore, Chrome and Damo Suzuki among many others with sets that vary from slightly eclectic to super-eclectic depending on the mood and situation.

Roland Lifjell
Norway’s techno godfather, with over 30 years behind the decks. His DJ sets are precise, controlled explorations of the dance floor, rooted in a deep love of synthesizers and driven primarily by techno, yet shaped by decades immersed in the genre’s dynamic, boundaryless form.
As founder of Filter Musikk, a cornerstone of Oslo’s electronic music community, Roland has built a lasting institution. From behind the counter, he has supported generations of DJs and producers, supplying everything from records to equipment, and helping shape the sound of the city’s club culture.
