Join us Sunday for a spectacular parade of fire and rescue apparatus along beautiful Solomons Island. The procession will begin in front of the legendary Tiki Bar at the island’s base and travel the length of the island — a perfect chance to line the sidewalks, set up your chairs, and celebrate the dedication of some of Southern Maryland’s finest volunteers and their impressive rigs. The parade will conclude at the Judges’ Stand in front of the iconic Calvert Marine Museum, with the historic Solomons Bridge as a scenic backdrop. Afterwards, we return to our Main Station to watch the Fire/EMS competitions, featuring the Battle of the Buckets, Bucket Brigade, Tug-of-War, EMS events, Fastest Dress, and the return of the popular 5-Person 2.5-Inch Standing Hook-up Contest. Plenty of food and beverage vendors will be on-site to keep you fueled.
